Applicable conditions
The controllable shock wave converts electric energy, compresses and discharges high-power hydraulic pulses, releases the stored energy in a short period of time to a few microseconds, and generates a very strong shock wave horizontally, which can break through or remove the surrounding debris ring, thus forming a channel that can increase the inflow, thereby improving the connectivity between the wellbore and the reservoir by more than 200%. Compared with the traditional methods of using chemicals, solvents, explosives and so on, it does not need more equipment, transportation and manpower, and will not produce environmental and safety risks, so as to reduce costs and increase production efficiently.
This technology is applicable to descaling, viscosity reduction, plugging removal, permeability enhancement, production increase and injection increase of oil wells and water wells, improving reservoir production effect and crude oil recovery. The application effect of this technology is the best for tight rocks with strong brittleness and formations with longitudinal heterogeneity, such as calcareous dolomite and siltstone. It is especially suitable for blocks with rapid production decline, poor reservoir production, low oil well liquid supply capacity, poor fracture connectivity, serious water channeling by water injection, low water displacement efficiency and serious blockage of crude oil emulsion.

Field application

At present, the technology has been applied in 65 vertical wells, including 55 oil wells and 10 water wells, with an average oil increase of 56% and an average injection increase of 250%. The effective period of the measures is about 200 days, and very good results have been achieved.
